    The Bosch Performance CX has been specially optimized for sporty use. The motor delivers a constant maximum torque of up to 75 Nm up even to a high speed range. /react-text

    react-text: 15 The motor offers an impressive maximum torque of 75 Nm. The “Direct Flow” technique also guarantees powerful support in the lower cadence levels. Trail Control offers a dynamic power management system, that allows the rider to choose the optimum support level (50-300%) for the terrain they are riding, their riding style, and the distance they are looking to cover. “Shift detection” protects your chain by cutting off the torque from the motor during shifting for smooth gear changes.

    A computer and control element: the proven Bosch Intuvia display is easy to read and offers many functions and information to the rider. /react-text

    react-text: 42 The Intuvia display tells the rider: actual, average and maximum speed, day trip and total distance, the time, trip time and total operating time of the bike, and motor performance. The remote control is located on the left of the handlebars and all display features and support modes can be selected safely while driving without taking your hands off the handlebars. The stable display base ensures a secure fit even under tough conditions. /react-text

From the remote, the five support modes (Off, Eco, Tour, Sport, Turbo) can be selected or walk-assist can be activated. Display functions can be accessed even when removed from the bike. A micro-USB connector allows you to charge a navigation system, mobile phone, or MP3 player.

    Haibike Integrated Motor Concept /react-text react-text: 272 The motor is the technological core and defining characteristic of an eBike. Thanks to our Gravity Casting motor interfaces we can integrate the motor in a compact manner without separate mounting plates. This concept reduces the space required to mount the motor and decreases the visual volume of the engine.

    Elegant integration :  The SkidPlate is a useful protective device from a technical perspective, but also allows us to optically integrate the motor to make it part of the frame. Unlike other integration concepts, the motor looks like a natural part of the eBike.

     Conventional eBike motors sit low in the frame and run the risk of being damaged by strikes to the underside of your bike. In 2012 we introduced the SkidPlate, a simple protective element that effectively protects the motor from below. 

    Protection from below

    Similar to a helmet, the SkidPlate protects the motor from damage and is strong enough to absorb even the hardest of strikes that would otherwise damage the motor. 

    Plastic as the ideal material

    We use a special, impact-resistant plastic that is able to perfectly distribute force and withstand deformation of its shape. Unlike metal, which would bend permanently, plastic springs back to its original state. The paint color conceals scratches and damages, and if necessary the SkidPlate can be replaced easily and inexpensively.

    The centerpiece of the frame: the motor interface. At this connection point many important functions come together: the engine mount, swing arm and shock mounts, and the battery and downtube connection. The more stable the interface is, the more stable the entire frame is. 

    Casting process

    We started using a casting process from the motorcycle industry, gravity casting, in 2010. Negative molds are created from compressed sand, filled with aluminum-zinc alloy, and then rotated along precisely calculated axes. Thanks to gravity, there is uniform thickness throughout the casting. 

    Light, stable and precise

    The raw cast aluminum parts are controlled by X-ray analysis and then reworked in a computerized process that ensures a consistently high level of precision, and a finished interface that is low weight and high-strength.

     

    Integrating batteries into frames in both an elegant and technically feasible manner is one of the biggest challenges in the design and engineering of eBikes. Our Step-In Battery Concept proves it is possible. /react-text

    Visually and technically convincing

    react-text: 72 To reduce the visual "weight, " we sink the Bosch battery slightly into the downtube. Thanks to the combination of hydroformed tubes and special castings we can dispense with welds and thus eliminate inaccurate attachment points. This technique also reduces the distance between the motor and battery by 11mm.
