Worth being upfront about: the 45mm-travel suspension fork is built for casual comfort on parks and light trails, not proper off-road riding, and the linear-pull brakes don't have the stopping power of a true mountain bike's. Neither is a flaw at this price and age — they're the right trade-offs for a bike that's meant to be fun and confidence-building rather than trail-shredding. The twist-grip shifter takes a little practice, same as on the 20" 7-Speed.
