Bringing Your Own Parts? No Problem — Here's How It Works

We get it — there are deals out there, and sometimes you've already bought the part before you've thought about who's going to fit it. That's fine. We're happy to help.

But here's the honest bit: when you bring in a part we haven't sourced ourselves, we can't verify where it's come from, whether it's genuine, or whether it's the right spec for your bike. We've seen counterfeit brake rotors, wrong-standard bottom brackets, and "bargain" chains that weren't quite what they claimed to be. It happens more than you'd think.

So we have a straightforward policy for customer-supplied parts:

A 50% surcharge applies to the standard labour charge for fitting any parts not purchased from All Ride Now. This covers the additional time we spend on compatibility checks, specification verification, and the extra care needed when we can't guarantee provenance.

You'll also need to sign a short disclaimer confirming that any warranty on the part sits with whoever sold it to you — not with us. If a customer-supplied part fails or causes an issue down the line, we'll absolutely help fix it, but the labour and any replacement parts will be at our standard rates.

Why do we do this? It's not about being difficult — it's about being upfront. When we sell and fit a part, we stand behind the whole job. When we fit someone else's part, we can only stand behind our work. The surcharge reflects the reality that customer-supplied parts take longer to verify and more often throw up compatibility surprises.

And if something doesn't look right? If we open the box and the part looks suspect — wrong spec, potentially counterfeit, or just not safe — we'll let you know and we reserve the right not to fit it. Your safety always comes first.

Got a part you'd like us to fit? Just give us a call on 01730 817563 or pop into the shop. We'll talk you through it.
