Trek Bike Warranty Explained – Ride with Confidence
Trek Warranty Explained – What’s Covered and How It Works
When you invest in a Trek bike, you’re getting more than world-class engineering and ride quality — you’re also backed by one of the strongest warranties in cycling. That said, it’s important to know exactly what’s covered, what isn’t, and how to make a claim if the worst happens.
Here’s our clear breakdown of Trek’s warranty so you can ride with confidence.
Lifetime Confidence – What Trek Covers
Trek’s warranty varies by component and brand, but for the original owner, the highlights are:
-
Lifetime warranty – frames, rigid forks, and full suspension swing arms.
-
Lifetime warranty – Bontrager wheels with carbon rims.
-
2-year warranty – clothing, parts & accessories, paint and transfers, rear suspension linkage, and Bontrager wheels with alloy rims.
What About Second Owners?
Trek also extends coverage to subsequent owners, with a 3-year warranty on frames and rigid forks.
⚠️ Important: This 3-year coverage starts from the bike’s original purchase date, not from when it changes hands. If you buy second-hand, you’ll need the original proof of purchase for the warranty to apply.
What Isn’t Covered
Like any warranty, there are limits. Trek’s warranty does not cover:
-
Normal wear and tear (chains, cassettes, tyres, brake pads).
-
Improper assembly or poor maintenance.
-
Corrosion, accidents, crashes, or misuse.
-
Labour charges for fitting parts.
-
Cosmetic damage such as scratches or paint chips.
-
Frames, forks, or components that have been modified.
Other Brands & Components
Trek, Electra, Diamant, and Bontrager products are all covered under Trek’s warranty policy.
For other brands — like Shimano, SRAM, Bosch, TQ, Hyena, and more — warranty terms depend on the manufacturer. The good news? At All Ride Now we’ll help you with any and all Trek bikes (including Electra and Diamant), and we’ll also guide you through third-party claims if needed.
Carbon Care Programme
If you damage a carbon frame or part outside the scope of warranty (like in a crash), Trek offers a Carbon Care Programme. This provides discounted replacement options to get you back on the bike quickly and safely.
Making a Warranty Claim
If you think your bike has a warranty issue, here’s what you’ll need:
-
Your original proof of purchase (receipt or invoice).
-
The bike’s serial number and model details.
-
Photos or description of the fault/damage.
Bring your bike to an authorised Trek retailer — like All Ride Now — and we’ll handle the process for you.
