HOW IT RIDES
Reviewers consistently rate the Precaliber 12's geometry as roomy and stable for a first pedal bike, and at around 14 lb it's light enough for a young child to manage and even lift themselves. The trade-off worth knowing: this size uses a coaster (back-pedal) brake only, with no hand lever — completely normal for a bike at this stage, since coordinating a hand brake is still a big ask at this age, but worth knowing before you buy if your child has already learned hand braking on a balance bike.
