The Trek Wahoo 26 Path 2027 is Trek's largest kids' Path bike, built for children roughly 146–160cm tall — a lightweight, straightforward bike for the neighbourhood, the school run and family rides.

WHO THIS BIKE SUITS

Your child is roughly 146–160cm tall and needs a light, straightforward bike for getting around.

Your child mostly rides pavements, parks and bike paths rather than rough trails — this bike deliberately skips suspension and disc brakes to keep weight and cost down where they're not needed.

You want a genuine bridge to an adult-size bike, not a bike your child will outgrow in a few months.

IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT

If your child is riding proper off-road trails, look at Trek's adult-size hardtail range instead — the Wahoo Trail line tops out at 24".

WHERE IT SITS IN THE RANGE

The Wahoo 26 Path is the largest size in the pavement-focused Path range, the last step before an adult-size bike.

HOW IT RIDES

An upright hybrid-style riding position keeps kids comfortable and confident, with better sightlines and control than a hunched-over riding position. At around 22.5 lbs, it's genuinely light for an entry-level kids' bike this size, and the rigid aluminium frame and fork keep weight and maintenance down — a suspension fork would add more burden than benefit for a bike that's mostly ridden on pavement and parks. The microSHIFT Acolyte 1x8 drivetrain gives enough range for hilly neighbourhoods and longer path rides, and the single chainring keeps shifting simple.

THE FINAL WORD

The Trek Wahoo 26 Path 2027 is a genuine bridge to an adult-size bike. Come in and we'll help you get the sizing right — we'd always recommend trying before you buy.
